Who we are
Specified Personnel is a trading name of Sanuk Solutions Pty Ltd (ABN 49 623 566 352), based in Queensland, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Sanuk Solutions Pty Ltd trading as Specified Personnel. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
What we collect
From candidates, we collect:
- contact details, such as your name, email, phone number and location
- your CV, work history, qualifications, licences and professional memberships
- your preferences, such as the roles, locations, work arrangements and salary you’re looking for
- notes from our conversations and interviews with you
- references, but only from referees you have nominated and only with your permission
From employers and other contacts, we collect business contact details and information about the roles and projects you discuss with us.
We don’t ask for sensitive information, such as health information or criminal history, unless a role genuinely requires it. If it does, we will explain why and ask for your consent first.
How we collect it
Mostly directly from you: through the forms on this website, by email, by phone and in meetings. We may also collect information from professional sources you have made public, such as LinkedIn, and from referees you have nominated.
Why we collect it
- to assess whether you suit current or future roles
- to contact you about roles that match your experience and preferences
- to represent you to an employer, once you have agreed to that specific role
- to run searches and manage our relationships with employers
- to meet our legal obligations
If you ask us to email you about roles, you can stop those emails at any time by telling us or using the unsubscribe link.
Who we share it with
We will not send your CV or personal details to any employer without your permission for that specific role. With your permission, we share your information with the prospective employer and, where relevant, your nominated referees.
We also use service providers to run our business, such as our website host, form provider, email and document storage. They handle your information on our behalf and only for that purpose. We do not sell personal information.
Information stored outside Australia
Some of our service providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. We choose providers with strong security practices and take reasonable steps to make sure they handle your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.
How we protect it
We store information in secure, access-controlled systems, and only people working on our recruitment activities can see it. We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for recruitment purposes or as required by law, and then we securely delete it.
Seeing, correcting or deleting your information
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email search@specifiedpersonnel.com.au. We’ll respond within 30 days.
Complaints
If you have a concern about how we’ve handled your information, please email us first and we’ll respond within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
